Wow! What an awesome message. When I feel the presence of God, His Spirit just pumping through me, it's amazing. Then there are the days when I feel so far, so empty from My King. It's awful and dark.

James 4 has been brought up in my life three different situations this month from different people with no connection. You mentioning it makes if four times. Thank you for your blog. God is just simply wanting me to quiet my anxiousness of my future and draw near to him with no hesitation. Run to him as he strips me bare of everything I am leaving in my life before Him.

I love you John and Lisa since I first saw yall at Pastor Al Brice's church in Fayetteville, NC in the early 90's.

I had so many questions of the Lord. You had just written your first few books and I bought them all and read them all in the 3 days you were there.

I was so dry. The final day of your conference I went home. My then husband did not attend with me, but when I got home I was surprised.

He said "Deb you were dead now you are alive".

I asked "what do you mean"?

He went on to use the tomatoe plant we had on our patio as an example. When it needs water badly it hangs over almost as if it is dead. When we water it suddenly it stands tall and strong once again.

He repeated "you were dead now you are alive. If this is what going to church does for you, you need to attend all the time".

It was the Spirit of the living God present that quickened my mortal body!

Thank you both so much for your dedication to the Lord in bringing the Kingdom of heaven to earth!

I feel Him wooing me everyday and my heart is His, don't get me wrong... but lately its not been 'completely' His. I've been choosing the other things (you know, the cares and worries of this life, a.k.a. a new computer )... it's been several weeks, since I've had that fire, that joy, that fullness... that intimacy in my time with Him. It's usually the end of the day and I'm asking myself how could I have let the whole day go by without going past the surface with Him. My heart's cry right now is to forsake these silly distractions and come back whole-heartedly to the joy of intimacy in the holy place. Love you guys & mucho blessings in 2009!

My husband and I almost lost our 12 year marriage this fall. God rescued us in a big way! As our whole world crashed and shattered, God has been faithful to begin to rebuild proper order and foundations....

In this process, Lisa's book out of control, was God's presence to me. Each chapter brought more fruit and will continue to for a long time. Now I'm reading true measure....So hard....but I know it will be worth the walk...

Thank you so much for all you do for the Lord. Our church also just watched the under cover videos...very very cool!

Thank you for this John. I hope and pray that more will come to want intimacy with the Lord our God. I thirst and hunger so for Him. It's because of people like you and Lisa that I keep striving to learn and seek more strongly. You two are awesome!

Wonderful reminder John. Your book Drawing Near and the audio series is still one of the most valuable resources I own today. I have had to listen and re-listen to that series. I think I need to do that again early in 2009 and really fan a flame.

i'm so thankful he called us to intimacy with him. It is only through intimacy with him that i've been able to let go of the things that are of myself. I'm overwelmed with gratitude knowing he desires me and loves me. I want to love him like he loves me. Psalm 34:15 was exactly what I needed to hear today. Thank you for your obedience to God.

God has always spoiled me with intimacy, talking to me constantly throughout the day. Lately, though, it hasn't been so constant. I miss Him but I want to miss Him so much that I actually pursue Him in a way that I never have pursued Him before.

Pray that I will draw near to Him in a way that is precious to Him.

Thanks for your minstry. I am fed so much from your books. Tell Lysa I love her and this momma of five girls is so glad to see her raise her boys the way that she does.
